This elegant restaurant is situated in The Theatre Royal, on the Dress Circle level. It is open for matinee and evening performances of Theatre productions and most Concert Hall shows. The crisp white linen and fresh flowers, which adorn the tables, provide a sophisticated backdrop to our chef's regularly changing selection of freshly made dishes, sourced, whenever possible, from produce of local suppliers.

There is not a restaurant in town that is more conveniently placed for patrons of The Royal Centre, especially as our diners enjoy the option of returning to their table at interval to enjoy their desserts and coffees or simply finish their wine. Large parties are welcome, exclusive use of the Restaurant is available at no additional charge, upon request, for parties of 30 or more, though a pre-order and deposit maybe required.

Please note you do not need to hold tickets for a performance to use the Restaurant. Booking in advance is strongly recommended, either by calling 0115 989 5569.
In response to feedback from our regular clientele, we have now introduced gift vouchers, which are perfect for any special occasion.

Although there is not a lift to the Dress Circle level in the Theatre Royal, we are happy to accommodate diners using wheelchairs or with mobility problems in the Green Room bar on the ground floor. Please advise the restaurant staff when booking if you would like this service.

Please note that the menu prix fixe may not be available on Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday or other such occasions.

The Green Room
The Green Room Café Bar lives up to the origin of its name, providing a restful and relaxing place to stop for a coffee, or something stronger!
Located on the ground floor of the Theatre, opposite the Concert Hall box office, we are open to the public from 11am on days with a matinee performance and open from 5pm on non-matinee performance days. Please note The Green Room Cafe bar and theatre foyer will remain closed on non-performance days.  A full menu is served from 12pm on matinee performance days only, with a large seasonal choice of light bites homemade soup and hot food.

Bars
The Royal Centre boasts seven fully licensed bars, and interval drinks may be ordered at the bar prior to performances.
